Portfolio Intelligence
Drift is Risk.
A portfolio company missed its forecast by 22% this quarter. You found out from the board deck three weeks late. Clarifi flags the variance the day it happens and shows you the band before the deck arrives.
Eliminate information asymmetry. Get a standardized, traceable view of every portfolio company's performance.
Key capabilities
Live Standardization
Force-aligned metrics across your entire portfolio. Compare apples to apples, instantly.
Drift Detection
Automated alerts when companies deviate from their forecast or fall below critical cash thresholds.
Reporting Without the Rebuild
Reporting doesn't stop at the term sheet. LP-ready reports export straight from the live portfolio dashboard, with every figure carrying the source and basis it was computed from, so you are not rebuilding the same numbers each quarter.
The Tower of Babel Problem
Same metric. Three companies. Three different definitions.
Company A (QuickBooks)
- Cost of Goods Sold
- Marketing Expense
- Salaries & Benefits
Burn: $180K
Company B (Xero)
- Direct Costs
- Advertising
- Personnel Costs
Burn: $175K
Company C (CSV)
- COGS
- Mktg
- Payroll + Benefits
Burn: $182K
After Clarifi normalizes
- Direct Costs (Std)
- Growth Spending (Std)
- People Costs (Std)
Normalized: $179K avg
Cross-portfolio dashboard
One screen. Forecast-vs-actual drift, flagged.
One-click reporting
Hours, not weeks, to a board-ready packet.
The same standardized source data flows into founder board packages from the founder dashboard and LP-ready quarterly reports from the live portfolio dashboard, not copy-pasted from Slack. The data layer is the same; only the audience changes.
- Founder board packages export from the founder dashboard, not a copy-paste from Slack.
- LP-ready report drafts populated from the same metrics on the portfolio dashboard.
- Every figure carries its source, basis, and as-of date. The packet is defensible to the penny.
The Data Bridge
You control what investors see, who sees it, and how often it updates.
Founders publish a scoped grant, per metric and per investor, and pick the cadence: live, by snapshot, or paused. Connections survive the pause; data does not surface until you say so. Revocable any time.
- What: per-metric toggles (ARR, growth, burn, runway, headcount, customers, revenue breakdown, retention trend).
- Who: each investor gets their own scope. Pausing keeps the connection; revoking ends the relationship, and the investor has to be re-invited.
- How often: continuous, snapshot, paused, or a scheduled auto-publish (daily through quarterly).
For data-science teams
SQL warehouse access, on request.
Not self-serve in the current beta. After a technical walk-through we can provision read-only SQL access to the same normalized warehouse that powers the dashboards, scoped per-fund, audit logged. There is no self-serve credential flow in the product UI today.
- Available on request: scheduled with our team, not a toggle in the beta UI.
- When provisioned: standard PostgreSQL. Bring your own BI tool.
- Scoped per-fund credentials with a read-only role.
- Credential lifecycle is recorded; revocation closes access at the database role layer.
Clarifi maintains AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, role-based access, and audit logging of significant actions. SOC 2 Type II audit is underway. See the security page for details.
